Emailed Nick Crocker for career advice. He’s had his own windy path, starting off in journalism and is now a VC. I got this in response:
Spoke with Mishti over the phone this afternoon. She's the author of this awesome article that's essentially the basis for what I'm doing. My take-aways are below.
It's been incredibly encouraging to hear back from both of them. I'm so grateful that they took the time to respond, especially Mishti who is literally in Hawaii on the other side of the Earth.
I have so many take-aways from the session with Mishti and can't wait to act on it. Irony is that i've spent five hours writing up this post (i'm not kidding). I’ll have more to say next week.
